What a Antivirus

 What is antivirus?

We already know what a virus is!  Today let's not know what antivirus.  Antivirus is what is used to prevent or kill viruses.  In the case of computers, it is a program that prevents viruses and kills viruses from infected PCs.

 How does it work?

It is a program that contains databases of different viruses.  As a result, viruses can easily detect programs and prevent them from being installed on your machine.  Antivirus needs to be updated regularly so that it has the latest virus database.

Suppose you hire a security guard for your organization and he knows the time he was assigned and the techniques used by the previous miscreants.  But after a while the miscreants started using new techniques.  If your watchman is not given an idea of those new techniques, your watchman may not come in handy.

In the same way, if the antivirus is not updated regularly, it may not work properly.  So you need to update the antivirus program regularly.

 Which antivirus is better?

One by one people like antivirus.  I have used several antivirus programs.  I like Avira the most.  They have two free and paid versions.  Frita is also good, but you have to be a little careful.  And Paid T manages a lot by itself.  I have always said that prevention is better than cure.  So make sure you don't get infected before you get infected.

 How to kill the virus?

Depending on the antivirus program, the methods of killing the virus may be different, but each has the option to scan.  Nowadays, viruses are most commonly spread through pen drives or any flash drives such as memory cards, so it is better not to use them without scanning them.  I am writing about it because I use free antivirus.  The same is true of other antiviruses.

If Avira is installed, if a virus wants to access any pen drive or flash drive by itself, it will block it immediately.  Now click on Remove and scan and delete it.

 Security Alert from Avira

If you want to add a Pen Drive or any Flash Drive to the PC and scan them, after installing them, go to Computer (Why in My Computer) and right click on the Drive and click on Scan Selected Files with Avira (it may change depending on the antivirus).  A new window will appear.  In the case of Avira, it will be as follows.

 Scan with Avira

 Found Some Virus

 Choose What to do

Clicking on Apply Now will move the caught viruses to Quarantine and your scanned drive will be virus free.  The above steps may vary depending on the antivirus.  But the idea is much the same.
